Professor of Materials Chemistry Mamoun Muhammed is Head of Functional Materials Division at the Department of Microelectronics and Applied Physics at the Royal Institute of Technology (KTH) in Stockholm. Muhammed’s group works in the field of synthesis, processing and characterization of nanoparticles and nanostructured materials for technological and biomedical applications. The research group is well equipped for nanoparticle and nanomaterial synthesis and characterization. They have recently established a comprehensive and state-of-the-art Nano-Characterization Center. In the NANOMMUNE project Muhammed’s lab will mainly be involved in the design, modification, fabrication and characterization of gold nanoparticles.
